In May, BiteBack published a report about Mondo Verde in Landgraaf, with a focus on Mannie the lion. Due to his inability to live with his parents, Mannie has been living in isolation for years in a small enclosure.
After intensive discussions, it was decided that Mannie will move to The Lions Foundation in South Africa, part of Stichting Leeuw. There, he will have a spacious enclosure of one and a half hectares, shared with another lion.
The preparations, including the construction of the enclosure and transportation, involve significant costs. Through the sale of our special shirt design, we hope to contribute to ensuring Mannie can begin his new life soon.
